I quite like it so long as it’s passable with a realistically daily driveable vehicle. It’s even gotten me out of a ticket before.

I never got into it, but I had some coworkers who were. They weren’t the crazy redneck types, though.
One guy was shaking his head while telling me about a mudding event where the trucks would line up and spray mud onto a bunch of kids. The kids loved every minute of it, but what if one of the trucks happened to kick up a stray rock? That’s a scary thought.

I killed a couple sensors back when it was all sold at the dealer exclusively. A big NOPE from then on.
At least back then I couldn’t find a parts store that had a TPS for my jeep.

I went mudding once years ago in my old XJ. 2 hrs of fun was not worth the days of cleaning afterwards. If I went again it would have to be in a dedicated off road vehicle that would never get cleaned.

After watching this I think I have to classify the Jeep mudding events I’ve been to as classy.
But in all seriousness, how many people get hurt during these events? So many people riding in truck beds with nothing really to hold on to, or 5 people on a quad, no one is even wearing goggles on while tearing it up in the mud pit, and it looks like lots of booze is involved. I know there are dozens of accidents and whatnot during Sturgis every year, I can’t imagine this is any different.

Being almost all of my off roading involves a forest, its simply a part of my life. However, I have never done the mud bogging like the video shows. That seems to be more of a southern thing. That’s not saying it wouldn’t be popular here, just that we don’t really have it.
